Position Overview

Candidates eligible to enlist in the U.S. Navy must be between the ages of 18-34. At any given moment, hundreds of complex, networked computer systems operate in tandem to keep ships and submarines at peak performance. The specialized training provided in these roles paves the way to careers in IT and network support, computer programming, web development, and information security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities: As an Information Systems Technician, ensure that networks and related systems are designed, operated properly, and maintained without interruption to the mission.
  • Responsibilities: As a Cryptologic Technician Networks, perform offensive and defensive cyber operations by investigating, tracking threats, and protecting critical networks from attacks.
  • Responsibilities: As an Intelligence Specialist, collect and analyze intelligence—ranging from cultural data to enemy movements—and create cohesive briefings to support high-ranking officials and mission readiness.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be between the ages of 18-34.
  • Requirements: U.S. citizen or equivalent; high school graduate or equivalent; 17 years of age or older.
