Job Description

Position Overview

Location: Ascension Dell Children's Medical Center. Shift Hours: PRN – work as needed. 48 hours required a month, 24 hours on call, with shifts ranging between 8-12 hours. R1 is the leading provider of technology-driven solutions for hospitals and health systems. As our Customer Service Representative, you will assist patients with check-in procedures at the hospital—collecting accurate information while providing compassionate support during registration. No prior healthcare experience is necessary as full training will be provided; however, you must be current on vaccinations, and able to pass a drug test and background check.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate computers and answer phones to accurately intake patient and insurance information in a busy hospital setting.
  • Work across multiple screens and systems to record details between physician and nurse interactions.
  • Demonstrate empathy by listening carefully and providing reassurance to patients who may be ill or anxious.
  • Adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment and manage interruptions for emergent clinical care.
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure a seamless registration process and effective patient flow.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Excellent customer service experience
  • Willingness to complete required vaccinations, pass a drug test, and background check
