Job Description

Position Overview

The Worldwide Sustainability (WWS) Finance team drives Amazon’s social and environmental impact by managing key initiatives such as measuring greenhouse gas emissions and achieving net-zero targets. In this role, you will support the Sustainability team’s carbon credit initiatives by executing monthly financial controls, tracking key portfolio metrics, and performing in-depth financial analyses that shape our climate action programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute monthly financial controls for the carbon credit portfolio, including metrics tracking, variance analysis, and risk assessment.
  • Update financial models to incorporate new data and assumptions related to the carbon credit program.
  • Perform discounted cash flow and P&L financial modeling.
  • Coordinate with business partners on NPV bridging and ad hoc analyses.
  • Ensure internal stakeholders are aligned with finance inputs and recommendations.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in financial modeling, P&L management, or analysis.
  • Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses.
  • Experience in sales, business, or corporate strategy.
  • Knowledge of voluntary and compliance carbon credit markets.

  • Compensation: Base pay ranges from $60,200/year in the lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in the highest market. Pay is based on market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
