Job Description

Position Overview

Blue Symphony is an information technology and marketing agency based in the Kansas City metropolitan area specializing in web development, custom programming, and custom database solutions. They offer strategic planning, brand development, social media campaign development and execution, and design services. We are seeking a Marketing Communications Manager to develop, manage, and execute a wide range of marketing-focused projects. The ideal candidate is trained in marketing and communications, works well independently, is eager to learn new things, and can manage multiple concurrent projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Content Creation: Develop multiple types of content (graphics, copy, and video for digital and print) using tools such as Adobe, Canva, and Figma; support video production from concept development to onsite management.
  • Program Planning & Execution: Develop, coordinate, and manage marketing programs from concept to completion; define project goals, deliverables, timelines, and budgets; provide event planning support.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of marketing programs and serve as the primary contact for clients regarding updates and deliverables.
  • Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Track and analyze campaign performance using tools such as Google Analytics and HubSpot; provide data-driven insights and recommendations.
  • Market Research & Strategy: Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and audience behaviors to inform and refine marketing strategies.
  • Project Management: Utilize project management tools to organize tasks, set deadlines, and ensure timely delivery; maintain organized documentation of progress and challenges.
  • Other related activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Business, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in marketing program or project management, preferably in an agency environment with a proven track record.
  • Strong design sense and art direction with solid knowledge of digital design tools; strong understanding of marketing principles and multi-channel campaign management.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Trello, Asana, Monday.com) and marketing platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot).
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Able to work evenings and weekends as needed to support client requests, special events, and business needs.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities; ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously.
