Job Description

Position Overview

As a cyber mission specialist at Booz Allen, you will leverage your deep cybersecurity expertise—including DoD Risk Management Framework guidance, Security Test and Evaluation, system vulnerability assessments, and compliance—to support Authorization & Accreditation throughout the System Development Life Cycle. You’ll evaluate potential weaknesses, aggregate threat feeds for senior leadership briefings, and collaborate on developing operations plans to ensure robust cybersecurity across multiple technology areas. Key Responsibilities

  • Apply expertise in DoD RMF guidance, Security Test and Evaluation, and system vulnerability assessments.
  • Evaluate potential cyber weaknesses and assess the effectiveness of security mitigations.
  • Aggregate threat feeds and prepare briefings for senior leadership.
  • Develop operations plans to support command and control.
  • Collaborate with decision makers and engineers to technically implement cybersecurity solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in a cybersecurity or computer field, including information assurance, networking, or systems administration.
  • Proven ability to apply system security configurations to meet compliance standards.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity standards and industry best practices.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Ability to obtain Security+ CE Certification within 120 days of start date.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience with RMF A&A processes and cybersecurity engineering.
  • Experience with the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS).
  • Experience with Cloud and DevSecOps environments.
  • Knowledge of STIG and compliance scans.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management and analytical abilities.
  • DoD 8140 IAT or IAM Levels II or III Certification.
  • Security+ CE Certification.
