We are currently seeking a Transportation Compliance Specialist for international logistics in Jacksonville, FL or Richmond, VA. This role is crucial to supporting our mission of improving lives by ensuring efficient, compliant transportation operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize various systems to identify and report issues related to shipment clearance and compliance with Customs, F.D.A., and O.G.A. standards.
- Assist the international transportation team in evaluating options for resolving supply chain challenges.
- Ensure that established compliance standards are maintained throughout the transportation process.
- Collaborate with internal teams and communicate directly with Customs, FDA, or O.G.A. representatives to facilitate timely clearance.
- Maintain professional and courteous communication in a traditional office environment, with flexibility to work from home as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years' experience in international logistics.
- Minimum 2 years' experience working with a customs broker.
- Strong working knowledge of customs entry documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with various supply chain visibility tools.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience with FDA procedures and protocols.
- Experience with CTPAT procedures and protocols.
- Motivated self-starter with excellent organizational skills to manage competing priorities.
- Strong communication skills with both internal and external business partners.
- Deadline driven with a focus on timely follow-up.
- 4-year degree is strongly preferred.
