HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT
Your Role:
The Medical Assistant is responsible for performing the delegated nursing functions under the direction of the department manager and clinical nurses.
This position is responsible for:
- Assisting with direct patient care and clerical duties that are an essential function in the coordination of optimal patient care, including, but not limited to
- Scheduling patients
- Patient hygiene/toileting
- Mobility assistance
- Interdepartmental transportation
- Vital signs
- Charting
- Ordering supplies
- Cleaning and stocking patient areas
- Chart audits and interaction with all areas of the department.
Reports: RN/Nurse Manager
Supervises: None
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY
Required Education: High school diploma (or equivalent) and successful completion of a Medical Assistant training course at a vocational/technical school.
Required Experience: None
Preferred Experience: Successful completion of a Medical Assistant externship and two (2) or more years of job-related experience preferred.
Required Certification/License/Registry: None
