Position Overview

REID MIDDLETON, INC. is an employee-owned civil and structural engineering firm with a 70-year history of serving both public and private clients throughout the Pacific Rim, including Hawaii and Alaska. With headquarters in Everett, WA and additional offices in San Diego, CA, and Anchorage, AK, we specialize in civil engineering services ranging from waterfront and site development to structural and transportation engineering. We are currently seeking a highly qualified and motivated Entry Level Structural Engineer to join our waterfront and marine facilities practice in Location: Everett, WA. In this role, you will work on unique shoreline and in-water infrastructure projects, collaborating closely with a team of engineers and drafters to deliver effective design solutions. Salary: $78K – $80K annually.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities: Work on a variety of shoreline and in-water infrastructure projects for waterfront and marine facilities.
  • Collaborate with a team of engineers and drafters to develop innovative design solutions.
  • Utilize structural analyses and design software to ensure robust and efficient project designs.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project needs and maintain client communications.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field of study (Structural/Ocean/Coastal Engineering).
  • Qualifications: Has obtained or is on track to obtain EIT with an interest in obtaining a PE license.
  • Experience with structural analyses and design software such as Enercalc, Risa-3D, SAP, etc.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MathCAD software (preferred), and Microsoft Office.
  • Design experience in site civil projects including grading, utilities, drainage, pavement, or structural design in steel, timber, and concrete.
  • Requirements: Must be authorized to work in the United States and willing to travel for site visits.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree (preferred).
  • Advanced studies in marine/coastal or structural engineering are desirable but not required.
