Position Overview

Our Data Science & Analytics team drives this vision by applying advanced techniques to solve strategic business challenges. Through the Nordstrom Media Network, we partner with top brands to create impactful, data‐driven marketing campaigns and provide analytics consulting to support critical business decisions. This role supports data-driven decision making by combining storytelling with analytical rigor, acting as a strategic partner to key stakeholders.

Reporting into the Sr. Manager of Data Science & Analytics, the candidate will join a team comprising 2 data analysts and 7 agency support analytics professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Use storytelling to present data in a clear and engaging manner, making it accessible and meaningful to audiences with varying technical expertise.
  • Provide high-quality data visualizations through automated dashboards and ad-hoc reports to support key aspects of the Media Network.
  • Support weekly campaign reporting requests to generate deep and robust post-campaign insights.
  • Engage in advanced analytics such as incrementality testing, cohort analysis, and closed-loop measurement.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders—especially Sales & Account Managers—to identify problems and propose data-driven solutions.
  • Review code and share knowledge with fellow analysts to foster growth and enhance the team’s overall impact.
  • Balance competing priorities and navigate ambiguity to deliver high-impact work.

Required Qualifications

  • Storytelling & Data Visualization:Passion for using data to tell compelling stories.
  • 2-5 years of experience analyzing complex media data, drawing conclusions, and making recommendations.
  • 2-5 years of experience developing and deploying production-level SQL queries.
  • 2-5 years of experience with advanced BI visualization tools (Looker or Tableau preferred).
  • Ability to think strategically and expand understanding of business domains, processes, data sources, and key metrics.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, computer science, or a related quantitative discipline is preferred.
  • Direct experience working with marketing and retail industry stakeholders is strongly preferred.

Compensation & Incentives

Pay Range Details:California: $76,500 - $158,500 Annually; Colorado: $76,500 - $126,500 Annually; Connecticut: $76,500 - $145,500 Annually; District of Columbia: $87,500 - $145,500 Annually; Hawaii: $76,500 - $126,500 Annually; Illinois: $76,500 - $126,500 Annually; Maryland: $76,500 - $145,500 Annually; Massachusetts: $76,500 - $145,500 Annually; Minnesota: $76,500 - $126,500 Annually; Nevada: $76,500 - $126,500 Annually; New York: $76,500 - $158,500 Annually; Rhode Island: $76,500 - $126,500 Annually; Washington: $77,969 - $145,500 Annually.
