Job Description

Position Overview

North Point Technology is hiring a hands-on Systems Engineer to own, harden, and scale GEOINT capabilities for NGA's Chinook modernization. In this role, you will drive architecture and integration, build interoperable systems, and develop automation that accelerates analysts and mission partners across the enterprise. An active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility (and CI Polygraph eligibility) is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support system architecture, requirements development, integration planning, and configuration management.
  • Provide engineering expertise across the full lifecycle—from concept through deployment and sustainment.
  • Collaborate with customer and contractor teams to ensure interoperability, scalability, and mission alignment.
  • Evaluate and recommend tools, techniques, and processes for system development and integration.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation (ICDs, engineering reports, diagrams, and specs).
  • Participate in technical reviews, readiness assessments, and milestone events.
  • Analyze system performance and recommend optimizations.

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship (per contract).
  • Bachelor's in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 4–8 years’ experience; or Master's with 2–6 years’ experience.
  • Strong grasp of SE principles including requirements management, integration & test, and configuration control.
  • Familiarity with MBSE tools/methods (e.g., Cameo, SysML).
  • Experience in DoD or Intelligence Community environments.
  • Proficiency with Atlassian (JIRA, Confluence), Microsoft 365, and other collaboration platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • INCOSE SEP, CISSP, Security+, or similar credentials.
  • Experience supporting the customer's programs and the GEOINT lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of cloud architectures (AWS, C2S) and DevSecOps environments.
  • Familiarity with Agile and SAFe practices.
  • Direct experience supporting GEOINT missions.
