Job Description
Position Overview
A television production is seeking background actors to portray firefighters and urban search and rescue personnel in intense, outdoor emergency scenes. This non-union opportunity is for local hires ready to commit to a multi-day shoot under physically demanding conditions, long hours, and potential exposure to water and heat. The scenes require a strong visual presence and exceptional stamina.
Key Responsibilities
- Portray emergency response professionals in action-packed background scenes
- Perform physical background tasks that may include simulated rescue movement
- Work outdoors for extended periods in potentially hot or wet conditions
- Follow on-set direction with professionalism and flexibility
Required Qualifications
- All genders, ages 25–50
- Must be local to the Nashville area
- Must be available for all scheduled filming days
- Must be comfortable working outdoors in hot weather and wet environments
- Must be able to commit to being on set for 12+ hours
- Call times may be shared the afternoon prior—availability is required regardless of notice
Compensation & Benefits
- $100 for 8 hours guaranteed ($12.50/hour)
- Overtime paid at time and a half after 8 hours
- Meals provided on set
