Job Description
Position Overview
As an Entry Level Conveyance Design Engineer, you will focus on performing routine assignments under the guidance and direction of more senior professionals in the design of water/wastewater pipelines, pump stations, and other conveyance related projects across northern California. The design work includes – but is not limited to – planning, preliminary design, technical writing, and the production of construction drawings and specifications, as well as providing services during construction. You will have the opportunity to grow professionally through your participation in internal project teams delivering challenging projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Performs routine assignments
- Understands fundamental theories, principles, and concepts
- Performs structured work assignments using existing procedures to solve routine or standard problems
- Receives instruction, guidance, and direction from senior professionals
- Aids in conceptual and final design drawings and specification packages for municipal, agricultural, and other water agencies
- Aids utility research and field investigations
- Aids in alternatives analyses and route studies to define work in preliminary phases
- Aids hydraulic and design calculations to support design development
- Aids in writing technical memorandums and basis of design reports to convey design criteria, alternatives analyses, and concepts to clients and stakeholders
- Aids in reviewing construction documents and provides services during construction
- Aids in contributing to client communications, presentations, and deliverables
- Communicates effectively internally and externally
- Develops and maintains mentor and mentee relationships within the conveyance design team
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Agricultural Engineering, or equivalent
- Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience with exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts on projects including conveyance pipeline design and/or water/wastewater pump station design
- Comfortable working both collaboratively and independently
