Job Description

Position Overview

This position works a hybrid in-office schedule of three days per week and requires a candidate to live locally.

Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant with expertise in capitalized software, construction in progress (CIP), and fixed assets accounting under U.S. GAAP and global policies.

This role will manage key schedules, amortization, and reconciliations, while partnering with IT and cross‑functional teams to validate capitalizable costs and support project reviews. You’ll also contribute to month‑end close, audits, process improvements, and system enhancements related to asset tracking and capitalization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop standardized capitalized software accounting processes (ASC 350‑40).
  • Build and maintain schedules, amortization entries, and reconciliations.
  • Review fixed asset additions, disposals, and depreciation for accuracy and compliance.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams to assess capitalizable costs.
  • Support audits, drive process improvements, and prepare executive‑level reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in capitalized software and fixed assets accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP (ASC 350‑40, ASC 360).
  • Skilled in reconciliations, detail‑oriented, and deadline‑driven.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office; IFS and Blackline experience preferred.
