Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with civil engineering leadership on day-to-day activities, delivering best practice civil engineering services to clients.
- Serve as the lead civil project engineer, providing direction to the design and construction teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet quality standards.
- Advise on project staffing needs and work with leadership to ensure appropriate resource allocation for civil engineering projects.
- Monitor the quality and consistency of civil engineering design documents, ensuring they meet regulatory, client, and project specifications.
- Elevate best practices within the civil department by coordinating shared tools, processes, and promoting knowledge sharing.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships within the engineering team and across HGA to strengthen the company’s network and collaboration.
- Foster a culture of innovation, integration, and entrepreneurship while contributing to the ongoing professional growth of the team.
- Mentor junior engineers and staff, providing guidance for their professional development and career growth.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an EAC-ABET accredited program and a current Professional Engineering (PE) license.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in the design of civil systems for healthcare, commercial, institutional, and/or higher education projects.
- Proven ability to lead the design of site improvements for complex projects with a passion for high-quality, innovative solutions.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills, especially in fast-paced environments.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD, WinSLAMM, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical skills and a solid understanding of civil engineering principles.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and interact effectively with clients, regulatory authorities, and project teams.
- Demonstrated capability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

- Compensation: Salary range: $120,000 - $142,000 (actual offer based on experience, education, licensure, and skills).
