Senior Financial Analyst, Alexa Finance - Insights, Planning, Econometrics, Decision (IPED)

Position Overview

Amazon is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join the Alexa Insights, Planning, Econometrics and Decision (IPED) team. In this role, you will own Alexa financial key performance indicators (KPIs) and executive metrics dashboards, define KPIs, perform trend analysis, propose and enforce guardrails, and build scalable analyses to support business decisions. You will work closely with Alexa Finance and business leadership to align on KPIs and deliver regular progress updates.

Key Responsibilities

• Define KPIs that incorporate value and investment levers across the Alexa P&L
• Influence the definition of guardrails to manage investment decisions based on return forecasts
• Build Page 0 metrics across the Alexa business to publish monthly in Finance reports, informing prioritization decisions based on actuals vs. forecasts, trends, and guardrails
• Work with big data and transform it into actionable insights

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, information systems, finance, or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience participating in continuous improvement projects to scale and improve controllership with measurable results
• MBA or CPA
• Knowledge of Tableau
• Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Compensation & Benefits

• Compensation: The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in the lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in the highest geographic market. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
