Salary: $22hr

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for moving material within the distribution center and from the loading platform by carrying, pushing, rolling, or operating hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, motorized conveyors, or other material handling equipment.
  • Must have a clean driving record and be able to clear for your DOT Certification.
  • Receive incoming inventory and supply items, log them into the company warehouse system, and stock inventory in the proper location.
  • Read work orders, shipping orders, or follow verbal instructions.
  • Fill customer invoices by checking part numbers, cleaning, and packing inventory items.
  • Inspect inventory for defects, scratches, or damage and notify the Warehouse Manager of any problems.
  • Follow all company safety and accident procedures while on company premises or when operating company vehicles or equipment.
  • Track all inventory in the appropriate system.
  • Organize and clean warehouse space and company equipment as needed.
  • Report any customer problems or concerns immediately.
  • Coach fellow associates on warehouse operational practices, equipment operation, and safety procedures when needed.
  • Enforce policies and procedures to ensure efficient, effective, and safe warehouse operations.
  • Evaluate current processes and recommend changes to warehouse management.
  • Contribute ideas to reduce warehouse cost per unit and increase productivity.
  • Maintain working knowledge of the warehouse data system and perform various tasks within the system.
  • Deliver supplies and equipment in a timely fashion while observing all regulated DOT and OSHA standards when requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Track record of completing work with a high level of quality.
  • Knack for solving complex problems and a hands-on approach to work.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to walk or stand for long hours and to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, with occasional lifts of up to 50 pounds.
  • Forklift operating experience; Forklift Certification is a plus.
  • Proficient in operating personal computers and using Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • At least 1 year of warehouse experience.
