Junior Software Investor

Position Overview

Headline is hiring an investor to support our early and growth investment teams by sourcing and speaking to the most promising start-ups in b2b software. This role involves engaging with founders across North America, evaluating their fit as investment prospects for Headline, and working on your own schedule in the Pacific Time Zone. Location: Bay Area. Time Requirement: Full-time.

Key Responsibilities

• Speak to and build trust with 25+ CEOs from exciting North American start-ups each week.
• Synthesize call notes and key takeaways from conversations with founders.
• Summarize the most compelling opportunities and report these to team members focused on fintech.
• Build a network in the start-up and venture capital ecosystem and maintain relationships with relevant founders.
• Undertake market research for Headline investment areas within b2b software.

Required Qualifications

• Excellent conversation and people skills.
• At least one year of practical experience in start-ups or tech (fintech knowledge preferred).
• Enthusiasm for venture and startups.
