Job Description
Position Overview
This Engineering Business Manager will assist in developing and executing a strategic business plan to develop, market and promote geosynthetic VAPs within the designated region to increase sales and profitability. This position is remote with travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Building customer relations for maximum long-term growth. Responsible for relationship development at all levels, providing concentrated and regular customer support contacts and market feedback, and developing lead generation activities.
- Direct leadership within the region to drive the technical marketing strategy and tactics to ensure execution of the Business Plan with respect to VAP positioning and technical promotion.
- Coordination with the entire Roadway and LCS team including engineering business managers, research and development, engineering services, regional sales managers, marketing, manufacturing, and internal operations to coordinate execution of marketing and sales strategy for the Roadway and LCS geosynthetic VAPs.
- Encompass engineering, technical specifications, business development, marketing, project management, construction, overall coordination efforts, and support for sales.
- Collaboration with the Roadway and LCS team to achieve maximum promotion towards meeting corporate sales and profitability objectives, sharing responsibility to meet the objectives of the business plan set forth by the Company for the fiscal year.
- Assisting in the development of the strategic Business Plan, supporting activities in executing the plan, and reviewing the plan for adjustments.
- Conducting technical training, presentations, demonstrations with customers, coordinating with team members and direct/distributor sales personnel, and attending trade shows.
- Assisting with developing marketing campaigns—including case studies, presentations, brochures, white papers/positioning statements, promotional items, and trade shows—and coordinating with other team members and the Director of Marketing; assisting in training.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, biosystems engineering, other engineering, construction management, or another relevant technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in an engineering/technical capacity (design, technical specifications, bid documents, technical reports, construction support, etc.) within the Transportation sector.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, usually within the state.
