Electronics Engineer

Our client, one of the world's number one electronics manufacturers specialising in LED's & LCD's, is hiring a Electronics Engineer.

This is a hands‑on role working in a dynamic team dedicated to the development of breakthrough solid state lighting (LED) modules for integration into general lighting luminaires. The team will consist of mechanical, electrical, and optical engineering talent, working cohesively to bring focused solutions to key customers in close collaboration with the sales team.

The company is extremely stable and never experienced any layoffs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead integration of electronics within Nichia's evolving module portfolio
• Integrate innovative electronic controls and communication into LED systems
• Create industry-leading, scalable electronic designs with flexible features at cost-appropriate levels
• Develop, grow, and sustain key technical partnerships with electronic suppliers
• Oversight of both design-build and build-to-print relationships
• Participate in developing a robust module design process, including quality & reliability objectives

Key Skills (Essential)

• 10+ years of experience
• Minimum of BS in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
• Analog/digital hardware design of electronic assemblies
• Experience in cross-functional teams developing new products
• Proficiency in developing specifications for engineering validation testing

Desirable Experience

• Proficiency with electronic design automation (EDA) tools for schematic and printed circuit design
• Experience with embedded control architecture including firmware design and validation
• Working knowledge of electronic regulatory standards, especially UL/CSA
• Familiarity with DFM (design for manufacturability) and DFSS (design for six sigma)
