Position Overview
JOIN US NOW as we are seeking an EKG SYSTEMS TECH who provides all cardio diagnostic services as ordered by physicians in compliance with department policies and procedures. This role involves independently performing computer-assisted electrocardiograms according to specifications, calling for support when needed, processing EKG test results using a computer system and editing reports, assisting with scanning of Holter monitor recordings (including typing, sending, filing, and scheduling), evaluating transtelephonic strips, scheduling and performing treadmill tests with subsequent reporting to the cardiologist, and handling general clerical duties such as testing, logbooks, billing, and charge reconciliation.
Located in Phoenix, AZ, this role is critical to the success of St. Joseph's Hospital Medical Center. Key Responsibilities
- Independently performs computer-assisted electrocardiograms according to procedure manual specifications.
- Calls for support when required.
- Processes EKG test results using a computer system and edits EKG reports.
- Assists with scanning of Holter monitor recordings and processing of results, including typing, sending, filing, and scheduling.
- Assists with evaluations of transtelephonic strips and processing of results.
- Schedules and performs treadmill tests, processes test results, and reports findings to the cardiologist.
- Assists with general clerical duties, including testing, logbooks, billing, and charge reconciliation.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma/GED and one year healthcare experience or EKG/Arrhythmia certification required.
