Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage the end-to-end release lifecycle across environments (DEV, QA, UAT, PROD) for enterprise APIs and middleware platforms (e.g., API gateways, integration platforms, microservices).
• Develop and maintain integrated release calendars, wave plans, and cutover strategies across multiple API domains and consuming applications.
• Coordinate deployments involving API gateways, middleware runtimes, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.
• Partner with development, QA, DevOps, SRE, security, and platform teams to ensure release readiness and environment stability, change management, CAB approvals, and release governance aligned to enterprise and regulatory requirements, using ServiceNow.
• Conduct release readiness and go/no-go reviews, including validation of API dependencies and backward compatibility.
• Identify and manage cross-API dependencies, versioning conflicts, and consumer impact during releases.
• Ensure rollback, failover, and recovery plans are defined and tested for API and middleware releases.
• Lead post-release validation, incident triage, and stabilization for production APIs.
• Maintain release documentation, deployment artifacts, and audit evidence, ensuring traceability from code commit to production.
• Provide release metrics and dashboards (release success rate, defect leakage, rollback frequency, API availability impact).
• Handle large consuming applications and dependent applications across the workstreams.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience managing enterprise API and middleware deployments in large, distributed environments.
• Strong knowledge of API gateways, integration platforms, and middleware runtimes (e.g., MuleSoft).
• Experience with ITSM / Change Management tools (ServiceNow).
• Solid understanding of API versioning, dependency management, and backward compatibility.
• Work experience in Agile / SAFe and ITIL environments.
