Position Overview
HealthPoint Medical Associates in Flower Mound, TX is dedicated to providing exceptional medical services to the community. We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Medical Office Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This is a full-time position (Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM) in a modern, fast-paced medical office that values teamwork, professionalism, and personal growth. Salary: $55,000-$70,000 per year. We are also excited to offer a generous Sign-on Bonus upon successful completion of the probationary period.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare and review financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure adherence to financial goals.
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Collaborate with department heads to analyze and interpret financial data, providing insightful recommendations.
- Conduct periodic audits to identify and rectify discrepancies or inefficiencies.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax filings and coordinate with external auditors.
- Support the finance team in month-end and year-end close processes.
- Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in a healthcare or medical office setting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations, such as HIPAA and Medicare billing.
