Position Overview

The Entry Level Pharmaceutical Sales Representative at IQVIA is responsible for promoting pharmaceutical products to physicians and ensuring that biopharmaceuticals and medical devices reach those who need them. This role is part of a focused sales team dedicated to delivering impactful solutions in the healthcare sector. The representative will engage with healthcare professionals, provide education, and contribute to the overall mission of improving patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate sales in line with assigned Territory quota
  • Maintain and update current and prospective target Prescriber profiles
  • Keep current with market knowledge and competitive products
  • Maintain a professional image for Client and Client Products
  • Participate in all required training and sales meetings
  • Plan and organize Territory to meet sales and call targets
  • Make sales presentations (Sales Calls) – individual, one-on-one, in-services
  • Make complete, accurate and timely submission of all time-keeping, details, call activity, expense reports, and sample activity when applicable
  • Compliance with Promotional Program and proper use of Promotional Materials and Promotional Expense Budgets

Required Qualifications

  • Four-year college degree (B.A., B.S. or equivalent)
  • Minimum one year outside sales experience preferred
  • Strong ability to develop meaningful questions that seek to gain a deeper understanding of what is important to the customer
  • Excellent organization, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Technology agility – proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint (Microsoft Office) with the ability to quickly adapt to new technology and systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of medical device/pharmaceutical sales experience
  • Documented sales performance (President's Club, Top 10%)
  • Experience during college: Working Competitive Sports
  • Extra-curricular activities – especially in leadership roles
  • Military experience
