Counter Sales Representative

Position Overview

Since 1953, Ferguson has been a trusted supplier of quality supplies across industries such as Commercial/Mechanical, HVAC, Industrial, Residential and more. We exist to make our customers' complex projects simple, successful, and sustainable. We are seeking a dedicated Counter Sales Representative to join our team. Schedule: M-F 7:30am-4:00pm.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide advice to customers regarding the best products to fit their needs.
• Process orders via the order management system.
• Operate cash registers and follow established cash handling procedures.
• Prepare and stage orders for customer pick up.
• Maintain store appearance and merchandising standards.
• Ensure that merchandise is restocked and placed in their respective areas.
• Maintain a safe working environment, including proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).

Required Qualifications

• Prior forklift experience is required.
• General computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
• General math skills for cash accounting.
• Excellent decision-making and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-3 years experience in construction supply sales or building material sales.
• Basic knowledge of products.
• A demonstrated ability and eagerness to learn.
