Position Overview
Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Radiology Associate Chief Medical Information Officer (ACMIO) for its Radiology department. Under the direction of the Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) and in collaboration with senior leadership, this role will drive clinical transformation through digital care delivery and innovation. Key Responsibilities
- Strategic and operational leadership for the implementation and adoption of our electronic medical healthcare system.
- Develop and lead a strong governance model covering health information technology, data governance, data use & reporting, and clinical IT decisions.
- Lead efforts to utilize clinical data for monitoring, revising, and developing best practice guidelines to improve patient outcomes.
- Advise the CMO and CIO in advancing digital care delivery, partnering closely with the CMIO.
- Promote standardization and interoperability of clinical processes, enhanced patient engagement via portals and mobile health, and clinical adoption of digital solutions.
- Identify and pursue innovative digital care technologies that add value to the organization and engage both clinicians and IT professionals.
- Communicate changes in clinical digital care technology and translate their value to care delivery teams.
- Lead efforts to improve EMR ease of use and support the implementation of the Enterprise Electronic Medical Records system.
- Develop effective governance for digital care delivery including data governance, population health, and quality reporting.
- Provide actionable data to clinicians to improve patient and population health across Ochsner Health System.
- Partner with the CMO and CIO to develop strategic initiatives aligning clinical and business objectives.
- Assist in operationalizing strategic digital care delivery initiatives and enhancing quality reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Proven track record as a clinical leader in digital care delivery, including the use, development, implementation, and support of an industry-standard electronic health record system.
- At least 3 years of progressively responsible experience in supporting digital care delivery.
- Certification from Epic as a physician builder.
- Licensed practicing Provider (MD/DO).
- Credentialed and committed to maintaining clinical practice.
Preferred Qualifications
- Board certification in clinical informatics or completion of an ACGME accredited Clinical Informatics Fellowship program.
- Board Certification in Radiology.
- Experience using and supporting Epic’s Electronic Medical Record System.
