Position Overview
Blend is a diverse team of problem solvers dedicated to making financial resources more accessible. Our cloud banking platform is trusted by major financial institutions such as Wells Fargo and U.S. Bank, as well as over 330 other firms. The Platform Foundation Team builds core frameworks—including public API/webhook, email/SMS, events, search, payment, and other common services—that empower all of Blend’s product lines. Based in Raleigh, North Carolina at our North Hills office (required 4 days a week onsite), you will work on designing scalable, resilient, and innovative solutions that help our customers process billions in loans per day and drive the company’s long-term success.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build distributed systems for long-term scalability and maintainability.
- Collaborate with feature development teams to understand their platform needs.
- Build tools to enable developer productivity.
- Monitor production systems to proactively identify and resolve issues.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a backend software developer.
- Proficiency in major programming languages such as TypeScript/JavaScript, Golang, Python, Java, or C#.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent educational background.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across teams.
- A proven ability and willingness to help others succeed and be productive.
