Position Overview
Director, Global Marketing – CeraVe DMI based in NYC within the L’Oréal Dermatological Beauty Division. Reporting to the AVP, Global Marketing, this role is a unique opportunity to lead innovation and strategic global marketing initiatives for the CeraVe brand. You will drive new product development, manage comprehensive launch strategies, oversee cross-functional marketing activations, and support sustainability efforts, all while mentoring a growing team. This position sits at the nexus of creativity, science, and business, working to deliver groundbreaking skincare solutions in a fast-paced, globally recognized organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage New Product Development for the Sun Care category – build a 3-year product innovation plan based on consumer and scientific insights, oversee end-to-end project and claims processes, and ensure product feasibility and profitability.
- Oversee Market Research – analyze market, consumer, and dermatologist insights to address brand challenges and opportunities in collaboration with Global Consumer Research.
- Manage Global Marketing Activations – partner with cross-functional teams and agencies to create integrated consumer and medical launch campaigns while managing production budgets.
- Strategic Meeting Management – develop and present quality materials for international meetings and support management meeting agendas.
- Zone Management – coordinate communications across regions to ensure global consistency of product launches.
- Drive Sustainability Initiatives – support CeraVe’s sustainability efforts including compliance with L’Oréal for the Future initiatives.
- People Management – lead and develop a team of 2 direct reports.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of related business experience.
- 4+ years of experience in Global Marketing and/or Product Development within consumer-packaged goods or beauty.
- Sun Care experience is preferred.
- 2+ years of team management experience.
- Proven track record in launching and managing new products or reformulations through their entire life cycle.
- Experience collaborating with labs and briefing external creative agencies.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Suite, especially PowerPoint, along with excellent presentation and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and foster cross-functional collaboration, in line with L’Oréal Competencies: Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Achiever, and Innovator.
