Job Description

Position Overview

San Diego FC, Major League Soccer’s newest club built for San Diego and its people, is on a mission to create opportunities for talent and community. The Account Executive, Ticket Sales is primarily responsible for generating new business through Season Ticket Memberships, Premium Spaces, and Group Ticket Sales in a high-volume sales environment. Candidates should be passionate, independent, and collaborative with at least 1 year of sales experience, preferably within the sports industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new revenue through cold calling, prospecting, and conducting in-person appointments
  • Meet and exceed new Season Ticket, Premium, and Group sales targets
  • Handle a high volume of sales activity: 50-70 calls per day and book 15-20 meetings per week
  • Develop client relationships through outbound calls, emails, text messages, inbound calls, face-to-face meetings, and special events
  • Meet regularly with the Director of Ticket Sales for ongoing learning and development
  • Work all home matches and prospecting events throughout the year
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism with all clients and prospects
  • Actively participate in regular sales meetings and ongoing training sessions
  • Identify upselling opportunities with current and prospective clients, such as Group Ticket Sales
  • Respond promptly to calls, inquiries, and emails
  • Accurately track all customer and prospect interactions in the CRM
  • Work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Sports industry sales experience preferred (minimum of 1 year)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a professional phone manner
  • Resourceful, conscientious, and punctual
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with an energetic and outgoing personality
