Position Overview
USA Clinics Group is growing and seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team! In this role, you will balance the needs of patients and maintain efficient office workflow while providing support to the physician before, during, and after medical procedures. You will help ensure that every patient receives an excellent service experience. This full-time position is available at our clinic locations in Richardson, Garland, Irving, Forest Lane, and Plano. Pay: $19-$25/hr and Saturday availability is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients and escort them to examination rooms; assist with the completion of forms as necessary.
- Operate clinic computer hardware and software in accordance with company policies.
- Answer multiple line and multiple language telephone calls.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient appointment needs, including transportation arrangements and rescheduling.
- Contact insurance companies to verify eligibility.
- Perform clerical tasks such as copying, filing, and faxing as needed.
- Maintain procedure rooms ensuring they are neat and ready for use at all times.
- Assist doctors during Endovenous Laser Therapy procedures in accordance with instructions and individual doctor preferences.
- Prepare patients before procedures and ensure proper cleanup after.
- Provide patients with post-procedure instructions and guidance on obtaining medication if necessary.
- Apply knowledge of sterile techniques and adhere to OSHA regulations.
- Train new staff and assist ultrasound staff as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1-2 years of related experience.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Very strong computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Medical Assistant Certification.
