Position Overview

The Cybersecurity/IT Intern role is an on‐site position in San Antonio, TX. This position plays a key supporting role in day-to-day cyber operations and projects, assisting management with researching, analyzing, and evaluating cyber projects to protect the organization against cybersecurity threats. Compensation: Salary will be determined based on prior work experience and education.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and assist management on cybersecurity and IT projects aligned with the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) framework.
- Research, analyze, and evaluate cyber projects designed to protect the organization against cybersecurity threats.
- Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of the required CMMC Level assessment and certification.
- Occasionally travel to various contract sites across 9 states as required.
Required Qualifications
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program at an accredited university with a major in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Security, Information Assurance, or Business (with a relevant concentration).
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated project leadership ability and effective time management skills.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong interest and background in cybersecurity and IT operations.
- Familiarity with federal contracting, government requirements, and frameworks such as CMMC.
- Effective communication, leadership, and technical support skills.
