Position: TELECOMMUNICATION TECH 2. This is a Full-Time role with 1st Shift. US Citizenship Required. No relocation assistance available and not eligible for telework. Travel Requirement: 10%-25% travel. Clearance: No - Clearance Not Required to Start.

Key Responsibilities
- Plans network installations by studying customer orders and technical specifications; ordering and gathering equipment, supplies, materials, and tools; assessing installation sites; and preparing design recommendations.
- Sets up pre-configured network equipment; establishes voice and data networks by running, pulling, terminating, and splicing cables; installing telecommunications equipment, routers, switches, multiplexors, cable trays, and alarm and fire-suppression systems; activating remote access tools; and coordinating with contractors.
- Performs installation coordination activities with vendors.
- Visits trouble sites and takes corrective action to maintain network functionality by troubleshooting and repairing outages; testing network backup procedures; and updating documentation.
- Conducts liaison efforts with outside vendors to order circuits and/or equipment as required.
- Maintains customer rapport by listening to and resolving concerns and answering questions.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree and 1 year of relevant experience.
- High School/GED and 2 years of related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, or Military experience; or High School/GED and 4 years of non-related experience in these fields.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience in network cabling (CAT5e, CAT6, and Fiber Optic cable).
- Experience in racking pre-configured network equipment.
- Ability to perform basic continuity testing.
