Production Operator 1

Position Overview

The Production Line Operator 1 is responsible for operating assigned machine(s) and managing area 6S Maintenance/Housekeeping.2nd shift hours: 4:30pm - 3:00am.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate machine according to the On-the-Job-Training (OJT) and/or machine operation procedures.
• Machine set-up, perform changeovers, and basic troubleshooting per work instructions.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by mopping, sweeping, collapsing cardboard, stacking on pallets, and disinfecting machines at the beginning and end of shift.
• Maintain the area 6S program.
• Assist the Line Lead with the production process as needed.
• Understand all quality aspects of the product (e.g., traceability codes, trilingual codes, and GHS pictograms).
• Perform the flushing process per work instructions.
• Fill containers from the boards.
• Rotate to other lines when the assigned line is down or as needed.
• Perform manual operations when required (e.g., stacking cases on pallets, loading bottles, empty boxes, and rolls of labels).
• Execute other assigned projects.

Required Qualifications

• Good interpersonal skills and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail; flexible and a quick learner.
• Ability to interpret equipment gauges and monitor factory equipment operations.
• Knowledge of the structure and function of production equipment.
• Familiarity with and adherence to all factory safety procedures and guidelines.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Willingness to work mandatory overtime.

Physical Demands & PPE Requirements

• Lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent lifting, bending, and standing.
• Willingness to perform repetitive tasks for long periods.
• Frequent navigation of stairs in certain areas.
• PPE Requirements: Eye Protection; Hearing Protection (in required areas); Specialty Footwear (in required areas).
