Job Description
Position Overview
As a Regional Sales Representative with Cook & Boardman, you will lead the development and management of your territory—focused on the Oklahoma City, Oklahoma area—by executing a targeted sales strategy. This role involves conducting sales calls with existing and potential customers (primarily General Contractors), developing in‐depth product knowledge of our key offerings including Doors, Hardware, and Access Control equipment, and maintaining critical relationships through excellent interpersonal communication, integrity, and strong organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a sales strategy with local General Contractors
- Identify opportunities to negotiate, bid work, and follow up on pending proposals
- Maintain a visible presence in the field and attend project meetings to ensure proper execution
- Participate in bid preparation meetings
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with architectural firms providing specification services
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- 4-year degree or equivalent work experience
- 5 years of related sales experience; specific experience with Door, Hardware, and Access Control products is required
- Strong customer relations skills coupled with excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
