Position Overview

TELUS Digital is an award-winning digital product consultancy and the digital division of TELUS, one of Canada’s largest telecommunications providers. We design and deliver transformative customer experiences globally by harnessing cutting-edge technology and agile methodologies. In this hybrid role, our Senior Product Lead will join the Product Delivery team with an in-office presence 2–3 days per week in Boston, MA; Charlottesville, VA; Columbus, OH; or Durham, NC.

You will be responsible for shaping product vision, driving strategic roadmaps, and cultivating trusted client relationships. This role requires technical expertise, a passion for diversity and inclusion, and a commitment to excellence in product delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build strong, trusting relationships with key client stakeholders, establishing yourself as a "trusted advisor".
  • Lead client discussions around product vision and end-user needs.
  • Elicit requirements and manage complex backlogs across multiple platforms.
  • Facilitate alignment and a shared understanding of product requirements among all stakeholders.
  • Drive a strategic product roadmap that balances business value, technical considerations, dependencies, and constraints.
  • Guide conversations on scope management and feature prioritization.
  • Collaborate with product designers to create best-in-class and technically feasible user experiences.
  • Lead or assist in workshops such as client journey mapping and user story mapping.
  • Conduct technical discussions with engineers to define system architecture and data flows.
  • Leverage analytics and data metrics to inform decision-making and optimize product strategies.
  • Document technical dependencies and API requirements.
  • Contribute to best practice promotion, skills development, and process improvement.
  • Mentor other Product Leads both informally and formally.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in the software development industry as a Product Manager, Product Owner, Technical Business Analyst, Requirements Manager, or similar role.
  • Expertise in eliciting and defining requirements for multiple platforms including iOS, Android, Web, and backend technologies.
  • Strong understanding of the differences in capabilities between iOS, Android, Web, and TV platforms.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and their integration into product development.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience driving product vision, go-to-market strategy, and UI/UX discussions.
  • Ability to quickly adopt new technologies and understand platform-specific risks.
  • Robust documentation and technical writing skills using user stories, acceptance criteria, flow diagrams, and API documentation.
  • Deep understanding of product development processes from concept to launch across frontend and backend technologies.
  • Proven success in facilitating scrum ceremonies (Stand-up, Refinement, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives) to drive development cycles.
  • Experience leading feature kick-offs and design implementations that deliver stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Proven ability to develop user empathy and deliver excellent user experiences.
  • Experience in mentoring and fostering a collaborative, inclusive environment.
  • Professional or personal experience utilizing AI tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Agency or consulting experience with a variety of clients and industries.
  • Experience with product research and strategy.
  • Knowledge of UI/UX platforms and design thinking methodologies.
  • Certified ScrumMaster and/or Certified Scrum Product Owner credentials.

  • Compensation: Individual compensation is based on a candidate’s skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors. USA Pay Range: $100,000 - $128,000 USD.
