The Industrial Engineering team within Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking Entry Level and Associate Industrial Engineers (Level 1 or 2) to join our growing team located in Everett, Renton, Seattle, or Auburn, Washington, USA. As a member of our Industrial Engineering organization, you will support production teams directly integrated with the Boeing Production System, analyzing performance, improving production processes, reducing safety and ergonomic issues, and driving improvements using root-cause and trend analysis. This role offers a unique opportunity to learn, stabilize, and transform production systems to achieve world-class operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply industrial engineering concepts, approaches, and techniques to products, processes, and services in order to meet program requirements.
- Support the development of plant and equipment layouts, capacity plans, accident prevention measures, and work flows.
- Participate in evaluating new techniques and technological developments for integration into the production and service operations.
- Assist with designing, maintaining, and optimizing the production system by integrating design, supply base, facilities, equipment, and personnel.
- Conduct basic work flow design and analysis and develop simple models, databases, and spreadsheets to analyze data for summary metrics.
- Support research, design, development, and implementation of processes and tools to enhance schedule performance, lower costs, and improve quality.
- Assist in the preparation of operations plans including work statement analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and capacity analysis to ensure technical goals are met.
- Provide production, supply chain logistics, performance visibility, and recovery planning support.
- Follow compliance requirements with established industry safety, design standards, and ergonomic guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in an Engineering field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Industrial or Systems Engineering
- Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, and/or a production environment
- Exposure to working in a team environment
- Exposure to or application of Lean Manufacturing principles
- Exposure to or application of Project Management skills

- Salary: Entry Level: $74,800 - $101,200; Associate: $89,200 - $120,750
- Schedule: 1st shift (with some collaboration possible between 2nd and 3rd shifts)
