Position Overview
Strategic Marketing Manager (Marketing Communications Specialist IV) role at Avnet. Schedule: Hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days in office. The strategic marketing manager is the primary partner for Avnet's key supplier manufacturers' marketing strategy—building trusted relationships, driving initiatives that deliver measurable impact, and converting opportunities into revenue. This role is directly accountable for the full concept-to-delivery campaign lifecycle and involves partnering with creative resources, sales teams, and stakeholders on market analysis, content development, promotion planning, and performance reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary marketing liaison for assigned supplier manufacturers, building trusted partnerships and aligning on business objectives.
- Develop joint go-to-market strategies and annual marketing plans with suppliers to highlight key technologies, target customer segments, and market opportunities.
- Manage end-to-end campaign execution—including content, digital, events, demand generation, and nurture programs—ensuring alignment with both supplier and Avnet priorities.
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to provide strategic guidance on marketing investments.
- Execute communication programs and tactics to promote brand awareness and drive sales lead generation.
- Coordinate with vendors and agencies to produce promotional materials, marketing collateral, and digital assets.
- Establish KPIs with suppliers, report regularly on campaign outcomes, and make recommendations to optimize strategies.
- Manage budget approvals and support proof of performance for invoicing.
- Participate in quarterly business reviews by providing updates, progress reports, and strategic recommendations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Experience Required: Typically 8+ years in marketing and/or sales with a proven track record.
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrates thorough knowledge of electronics and engineering design lifecycles and a proven ability to manage external partnerships while collaborating across diverse teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing and at least 4 years of experience within electronic and engineering design lifecycles, and/or supply chain industry knowledge.
