Job Description
Position Overview
At American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS), the Manager, Growth Marketing and Analytics Capabilities is a product development role driving innovative marketing initiatives for the Small Business segment. You will spearhead the development of marketing capabilities, collaborate across teams including Analytics, Marketing, Engineering, and UX Design, and drive contextual, cross-sell opportunities to optimize spend and growth. Your work will help define the future of American Express by aligning strategic objectives with actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of contextual, cross-sell opportunities across the digital ecosystem.
- Manage the development and delivery of Agile stories and epics to ensure strategic alignment.
- Clearly articulate the impact of changes to team members and oversee testing and acceptance processes.
- Lead projects independently from end-to-end, build consensus, identify risks, and communicate with leadership to remove roadblocks.
- Partner with Analytics and Marketing to prioritize initiatives and integrate platform and enterprise data for multi-touch attribution.
- Collaborate with Analytics and Product teams to devise and execute a comprehensive Small Business Analytics tooling strategy.
- Manage third-party vendor relationships to innovate on capabilities and drive efficiencies.
- Work with stakeholders including Marketing, Engineering, and UX Design to develop solutions that meet business and regulatory requirements.
- Create and update management reports to track development progress and quantify post-launch impact.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in digital product development with the ability to drive consensus among cross-functional teams.
- Balanced technical and business acumen with hands-on experience working in an agile environment alongside engineers and designers.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to handle change management conversations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to dive deep into data to monitor results and quantify impact.
- A spirit of curiosity and grit, with the capacity for independent discovery and research.
- Proven project management, organization, and prioritization skills for handling cross-functional, large-scale initiatives.
- Experience with data analytics tools (A/B testing, funnel analysis, session replay, user surveys, cohort analysis, etc.).
- Interest in marketing attribution methodologies and their investment implications.
- Bachelor’s degree.
