Job Description

Position Overview

Supports member and provider complex questions and concerns related to detailed claim, membership, authorization, benefits, contracts, and a variety of other call center related core activities. Participate in member wellness activities, re‐enrollment/dis‐enrollment activities, and will conduct surveys and assessments. Assists with carrying out all call center activities and supports with other departments within El Paso Health (EPH) as necessary. Focus on primary line of business, which may include, but is not limited to, Medicare, Medicaid, CHIP, Health Care Options (HCO), and Third Party Administration (TPA) programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support member and provider inquiries regarding claims, membership, authorizations, benefits, and contracts.
  • Participate in member wellness and re‐enrollment/dis‐enrollment activities.
  • Conduct surveys and assessments.
  • Assist with call center operations and collaborate with other departments within EPH.
  • Focus on primary programs including Medicare, Medicaid, CHIP, HCO, and TPA programs.

Required Qualifications

  • Excellent bi-lingual oral/written skills in English and Spanish.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Computer awareness and willingness to learn data entry.
  • Proficient in basic arithmetic operations: add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
  • Demonstrated intermediate reading, writing, and speaking skills with attention to detail.
  • Proven excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • At least two years of experience in a call center environment using management information systems to track interactions.
  • Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, CHIP, Third Party Administration, or social service systems.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
