Global Operations Specialist

Position Overview

Flexport is on a mission to simplify global trade through innovative technology and exceptional people. As a Global Operations Specialist, you will be a vital part of our North American Operations team responsible for executing the shipment lifecycle for Ocean & Air shipments—from booking at origin to final delivery. You will ensure data integrity, maintain communications with partners, and work cross-functionally to uphold Flexport’s high standards in global logistics.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute the movement of ocean and air freight shipments from booking at origin to final delivery at destination.
• Maintain communications with Flexport transportation and warehousing partners to monitor shipment progress.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure shipments move on time and handle exceptions appropriately.
• Utilize metrics to identify opportunities for process improvements and deliver high performance.
• Own the quality of client data by validating booked shipments, tracking statuses, and confirming shipment schedules.
• Consistently follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to meet internal KPIs and SLAs.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Associate's degree or 1+ year of relevant experience. New graduates are encouraged to apply!

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Suite (Sheets/Excel).
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
• A compliance first attitude to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
