Position Overview
Based in Cranbury, NJ (Requisition ID: 17895), Brightstar is a global leader in lottery technology, dedicated to delivering secure and reliable solutions. As a Field Service Technician, you will maintain and service lottery equipment at retailer locations across Monmouth, Ocean, Atlantic, and Cape May Counties. Your role is integral to ensuring continuous operation and supporting our award‐winning lottery operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport, install, and maintain Brightstar lottery equipment, replacement parts, tools, and supplies in an organized manner.
- Respond to dispatches; drive to customer locations within NJ to deliver supplies and perform installations, removals, or repairs.
- Attend driver training and adhere to Brightstar vehicle policies regarding the use and maintenance of the company vehicle.
- Troubleshoot and restore malfunctioning equipment, including swapping, cleaning, and making minor adjustments.
- Communicate effectively with Dispatch by accurately reporting activity, arrival/departure times, and solutions to issues.
- Deliver marketing supplies and consumable parts while tracking inventory and providing basic training to retailers.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience in a customer service-related role and technical repairs.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record and the ability to perceive colors correctly.
- Physical ability to climb ladders, lift and transport equipment (up to 50 lbs individually and up to 800 lbs with assistance), and work at heights or in confined spaces.
- Ability to sit and drive for prolonged periods, demonstrate dexterity with tools, and handle moving parts and electrical current safely.
- Reside in proximity to the service coverage area.

At Brightstar, Compensation is determined based on a variety of factors including background, skills, experience, and work location. The estimated starting range is $17.45-$23.27, although actual pay may vary. Base pay is only one part of the overall rewards package.
