Software Developer (Remote)

Position Overview

Founded in 1983, the Medical Review Institute of America (MRIoA) is the market leader for technology-enabled utilization management and clinical medical review solutions, renowned for excellence and continual improvement. At MRIoA, our employees are key to our success. In this role, you will focus on software application development and maintenance as well as provide back-up IT support for MRIoA software applications. This remote (work-from-home) position offers a supportive team atmosphere where diversity is celebrated.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new software applications under the direction of the Software Development Supervisor and senior developers.
• Design, implement, test, document, and maintain software applications following existing guidelines, coding standards, and industry best practices.
• Assist stakeholders in defining scope and specifications for new software solutions by studying business requirements and data usage.
• Document, investigate, fix, and report on software defects.
• Monitor, analyze, refactor, and enhance existing applications and source code.
• Research and recommend improvements to our software, processes, and development tools, including estimating costs and time.
• Mentor, train, and assist more junior developers.
• Complete other duties as requested.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in NodeJS.
• Proficient in Python.
• Familiarity with Windows C++ and Adobe ColdFusion.
• Knowledge of SQL Server, GCP, and AWS.
• High School Diploma required; college degree preferred.
