Position Overview
Join PGIM Real Estate as an Agriculture Investment Analyst (Hybrid – Fresno, CA). In this role, you'll become a vital part of the Agriculture Equity Investments Team, supporting acquisitions, research, and technology initiatives. You will help analyze farmland investment opportunities, conduct market research, and evaluate emerging agricultural technologies within a top global asset management firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze farmland investment acquisition opportunities and divestments by developing in-depth analysis and cash flow models.
- Underwrite and evaluate investment transactions such as acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and property valuations.
- Coordinate with acquisition professionals and cross-functional teams to maintain the investment pipeline and conduct due diligence.
- Prepare investment recommendations for internal committees and third-party investors.
- Conduct detailed research on multiple agricultural commodities and new geographic areas for potential investments.
- Assist with sustainability initiatives and support the preparation of industry research reports and updates.
- Support the evaluation and implementation of new agricultural technologies, including internal systems like ArcGIS.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in the investment management industry; experience in agriculture is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, agricultural finance, economics, or an equivalent curriculum.
- Strong financial modeling and quantitative skills with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Solid understanding of key real estate finance terminology and financial analysis concepts (e.g., NOI, cash flow returns, IRR, discounted cash flows).
- Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and familiarity with Copilot features.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
