Network Technician

Position Overview

JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.

Salary: $62,400 to $83,200 annually

Key Responsibilities

• Experience with design, implementation, testing and maintenance on network and telecom equipment and systems.
• Experience across different types of networking equipment and associated technologies.
• Strong understanding of WAN/LAN systems used to transmit voice, data and video across digital and fiber optic infrastructure.
• Experience with network layers 2/3 and TDM networking equipment.
• Experience with commercial carrier services and managing system interconnects.
• Ability to manage, troubleshoot and repair physical logical network infrastructure.
• Read and implement operational, safety, quality, and environmental policies as required.

Required Qualifications

• An associate's degree or higher from an accredited college; or technical schooling in math, basic electronics, and microwave theory; or a military equivalent, plus a minimum of seven years of hands-on experience.
• International Society of Certified Electronics Technicians (ISCET) certification
• Comprehensive knowledge in general electronics
• Demonstrated expertise in electronic, electro-mechanical, and computer systems and the test equipment used to maintain and repair them
• Experience with tubes, transistors, logic gates, and/or high-power radio frequency (RF) devices
• Expert-level troubleshooting and soldering capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CISCO network equipment
• Experience with CIENA Optical Transport Network equipment
