Job Description

Position Overview

The Technician Apprentice / Technician Trainee will serve as a trainee for assigned Master Technicians and is responsible for learning the proper diagnosis and repair of customer and dealership vehicles and the completion of assigned repair orders in an effective and competent manner according to manufacturer standards.
This is a full-time position with Compensation: $16.50 - $20.00 per hour and Location: In person.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate with service advisors and technicians clearly and properly articulate customer concerns that need to be addressed.
  • Learn how to properly repair vehicles through formal training sessions and hands-on work tasks supervised by auto technicians.
  • Perform simple automotive repairs, following multi-point inspection forms; test batteries.
  • Perform light custodial tasks to keep the workshop clean and presentable.
  • Deliver customer vehicles to service stalls as requested by technicians.
  • Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures and immediately report any accidents to a manager, supervisor, or Human Resources.
  • Maintain current awareness of state and federal laws regarding automobile repairs and consumer protection.
  • Adhere to the work schedule and arrive at work before the scheduled start time to be productively engaged at the workstation.
  • Safeguard customer and dealer information per established policy.
  • Comply with all safety rules and use appropriate safety and personal protection equipment as required.
  • Adhere to the established dress code policy at all times.
  • Perform any other related duties as may be assigned.
