Software Engineer, Backend - (Blockchain Platform Wallet Team)

Position Overview

Coinbase is on a mission to increase economic freedom in the world by building the future global financial system onchain. As part of the Wallets team, you will help innovate and scale distributed backend systems powering billions of crypto transactions daily, working alongside brilliant engineers in a fast-paced, high-caliber environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain the future of our wallet systems
• Collaborate with teams across Coinbase on integrations with our services
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to uphold high code quality standards
• Troubleshoot and debug complex problems

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in software engineering
• Proven experience in designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services with a service-oriented architecture
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to write high-quality, well-tested code
• Strong attention to detail
• Passion for building an open financial system

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with GoLang and/or Ruby
• Experience decomposing large software systems
• Crypto background
• Experience with Solana data, indexing, or scaling large systems
• Crypto-forward experience, including interacting with Ethereum addresses, using ENS, and engaging with dApps
