The Social Marketing team drives brand affinity through our owned social accounts across the Zillow portfolio of brands. We’re passionate about crafting excellent customer and partner experiences, and we accomplish this by delivering social-first content, reactive and proactive 1:1 engagements in our social channels, influencer work, and more. We work closely with teams like Brand Marketing, Paid Marketing, Creative Services, Data Science, and Campaign Planning & Management to deliver groundbreaking marketing campaigns.

About The Role

Zillow’s Social Marketing team is looking for a Social Media Specialist to drive brand engagement through paid social campaigns, promoting our mission of giving people the power to unlock life’s next chapter. You will be partnering closely with the team's strategy, listening, and community management functions, reporting to the Social Media Manager, to execute and report on the performance of social campaigns. This position offers you opportunities to:

  • Drive brand affinity and awareness through management and optimization of top-of-funnel social campaigns
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop paid execution plans supporting marketing campaigns
  • Develop innovative and effective audience targeting solutions to reach the right customer or partner with the right content at the right time
  • Establish measurement methodologies and implement tagging to enable reporting
  • Mine for key insights, formulate hypotheses, develop tests, and disseminate impactful reporting and recommendations to partners
  • Grow your marketing toolset with diverse platform experience, including Facebook Ads Manager, Google Analytics, Tableau, and emerging channels like TikTok
  • Engage with social platform partners to learn about the latest social ad products
  • Learn more about our customers by monitoring and responding to comments in our social channels in partnership with the Community Management team

This role has been categorized as a Hybrid position. “Hybrid” employees regularly work at an existing ZG corporate office for approximately 10 to 80 percent of their time each month, and the rest of the time they may work from a remote physical location of their choice within a reasonable commuting distance from the corporate office which must be identified to the Company in advance. The Recruiter and Hiring Manager will set expectations on the employee’s preferred time in office. ZG has not defined a reasonable distance, and expects employees will use judgment in determining this for themselves and understand the implications re: time commitment and cost of daily commute.

Who you are

  • 1-2 years of work experience in digital marketing with an emphasis on running paid social campaigns, optimizing campaigns in-real-time, and reporting on social campaign performance
  • Experience with social advertising products, such as Facebook Ads Manager, Twitter Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Pinterest Ads Manager, or TikTok Ads Manager
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills, and can synthesize data and analytics from a wide variety of sources into concise insights and recommendations
  • Strong skills in Excel and GSuite (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides)
  • Experience with data management/visualization platforms like Google Data Studio, Tableau, or Mode
  • Familiarity with comment moderation and content management through tools like Sprout Social and Opal
  • Understanding of A/B tests and brand surveys within social platforms
  • Familiarity with UTM and pixel-based tracking
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High degree of curiosity and desire to learn new things
  • Bachelor’s degree
