Job Description

Position Overview

Represent the largest and longest-standing media company in North Texas. Medium Giant, powered by The Dallas Morning News, is uniquely positioned to go to market with not only Dallasnews.com media, but also a full range of agency and marketing services. As a Media Account Executive based in North Texas, you will work with both local and national businesses, using a consultative approach to understand clients’ business needs and recommend the most effective digital, strategic, and marketing solutions.

Compensation: Competitive base and uncapped commission pay.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and develop approximately 70% net new clients while also expanding relationships with existing clients (30%).
  • Use a consultative approach to identify ideal customer profiles and understand both spoken and unspoken client needs.
  • Articulate digital marketing, paid media, and strategic marketing solutions to decision makers at various levels (e.g., President, CEO, CMO).
  • Make new contacts via email, phone, networking, or in-person meetings to introduce Medium Giant's digital strategy and marketing services.
  • Accurately report opportunity and revenue pipelines while collaborating with sales leaders to achieve targets.
  • Participate in diverse sales initiatives and team building in a collaborative office environment (2–3 days per week onsite).

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of sales experience, with a preference for media sales.
  • Proven track record in securing new business meetings and achieving sales goals.
  • Ability to effectively present complex digital marketing and paid media solutions to high-level decision makers.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive (Sheets, Slides, Docs).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interpret unspoken signals and body language.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of managing multiple tasks under time constraints.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is a plus but not required.
  • Experience or familiarity with Paid Media (programmatic, SEO/SEM) is an advantage.
  • Ability to think critically and innovatively while taking initiative.
  • Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively across teams.
