Job Description

Position Overview

This is not just a desk engineering job. We need someone who can move between engineering and the shop floor, solve manufacturing problems, improve products and processes, and work directly with production teams.

The ideal candidate will have strong Autodesk Inventor experience and understand fabrication, machining, weldments, assemblies, and production manufacturing methods.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop parts, assemblies, fixtures, and manufacturing solutions using Autodesk Inventor
  • Create production-ready models, drawings, and BOMs
  • Work directly with fabrication, machining, welding, and assembly teams
  • Improve manufacturability, efficiency, and product quality
  • Reverse engineer existing components and assemblies
  • Assist with prototype development and production implementation
  • Support ERP and manufacturing documentation processes
  • Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and internal departments
  • Help solve real-world production and engineering challenges

Qualifications

  • Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent real-world experience
  • Strong Autodesk Inventor experience required
  • Manufacturing experience required
  • Experience with fabrication, machining, weldments, and production processes
  • Understanding of GD&T, tolerancing, and manufacturing drawings
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Hands-on mindset with practical manufacturing knowledge

Preferred Experience

  • Tube fabrication and welded assemblies
  • CNC machining knowledge
  • ERP/MRP system experience
  • Reverse engineering and 3D scanning
  • Experience in motorsports, automotive, or industrial manufacturing environments

Pay: $55,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
