Job Description
Position Overview
The Salvation Army’s Adele and Robert Stern Red Shield Community Center is seeking a Welcome Desk Attendant who will serve as the friendly first point of contact for guests and visitors. In this role, you will greet guests, answer phone calls, provide directions, and help maintain a safe and pleasant environment. Compensation: Pay Range: $17.00-$20.40.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a warm and efficient greeting to all guests and visitors.
- Answer incoming phone calls promptly and courteously while providing basic information about facility events and programs.
- Provide directions and respond to visitor inquiries, ensuring that informational materials are readily available.
- Maintain all public and restricted areas in a neat and clean condition including routine cleaning tasks.
- Report any unsafe conditions or suspicious activities immediately to the Corps Officer or Administration staff.
- Document any incidents accurately and notify security or supervisors as needed.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in customer service with administrative duties.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with a computer-based work environment using applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email clients (e.g., Outlook or Lotus Notes).
- Strong guest service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally.
