Job Description
Position Overview
Every day, the donors you meet will motivate you. The high-quality plasma you collect will become life-changing medicines. Reporting to the Plasma Center Manager, you will serve as a plasma donor screener and perform phlebotomy to support plasma center operations while ensuring donor and team safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer phones, greet donors, and ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
- Screen new and repeat donors, recording vital signs and finger stick results.
- Utilize the Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain accurate records, and coordinate donor compensation.
- Identify operational opportunities for continuous improvement and implement process enhancements following company procedures.
- Work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Capability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach both above shoulders and below knees.
- Ability to lift up to 5 lbs regularly, with occasional lifts up to 32 lbs and rarely 50 lbs.
- Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and adequate hearing to discern equipment sounds from a distance.
- Comfort and compliance with prolonged glove wear due to potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a customer or patient facing role is helpful.
